Kiosk Stations

Kiosk Stations let you deploy AI avatars on physical devices in your museum. Visitors can interact directly on a touchscreen kiosk or scan a QR code to continue on their own phone.

Setting Up a Station

Navigate to Stations in your dashboard
Click Create Station
Enter a name and location (e.g., "Main Lobby Kiosk", "Gallery B Entrance")
Assign an avatar to the station
Your station is ready — use the generated URL or QR code

Station Features

QR Codes

Each station generates a unique QR code. Print and display it next to the kiosk so visitors can scan and chat from their personal devices.

Hub Pages

Create a Kiosk Hub for your organization — a single page listing all stations with QR codes. Perfect for lobbies or information desks.

Kiosk Lock Mode

Enable Kiosk Lock to prevent visitors from navigating away from the kiosk interface. A PIN code is required to exit — ideal for public-facing tablets.

Station Status

Monitor station health with real-time status indicators: online, offline, or error. Heartbeat tracking ensures you know when a kiosk needs attention.

The kiosk interface is optimized for touch:

Large buttons and text for accessibility
Voice input and output support
Auto-reset after inactivity
Customizable greeting and branding

Kiosk Logs

Every interaction is logged with event type, timestamp, and metadata. Use kiosk logs to monitor usage patterns and troubleshoot issues.

Best Practices

Place kiosks at exhibit entrances for maximum engagement
Use the Hub page as a "menu" for multi-exhibit tours
Enable kiosk lock on public devices
Monitor station status regularly and set up alert emails
